What is London International Shipping Week and how does it work?

LISW is a week-long programme of maritime events taking place across London, rather than one single conference or exhibition.
More than 350 Official Events are expected during LISW27, including events organised by LISW as well as Sponsors, Supporting Organisations and other members of the international maritime community.
Alongside the wider Events Calendar, LISW runs a programme of core events and activities throughout the week.
When is LISW27?

LISW27 takes place from Monday 13 to Friday 17 September 2027.
A programme of LISW27 sporting events will also take place in the days leading up to the official week.
What are the main LISW27 events?

LISW brings together senior leaders and decision-makers from across the international maritime industry, including shipowners, charterers, ship managers, brokers, insurers, lawyers, financiers, ports, technology providers, regulators, policymakers and government representatives.

Many events during LISW are free to attend, while others may be ticketed, invitation-only or subject to approval.
The Bunker Party and Charter Party are free to attend, but registrations are subject to approval and attendees must meet the relevant criteria for each event.
The LISW27 Headline Conference and Champagne Reception, Gala Dinner & After Party are ticketed events.
Attendance requirements and any applicable costs for independently organised events will be shown on the relevant event listing.

The LISW27 Global Hub at County Hall is a central meeting point during the week, bringing together international delegations, government representatives, industry leaders and maritime organisations.
Across two days, it will host high-level presentations, seminars, meetings and networking, alongside a limited number of partner and exhibitor showcase spaces.

Three sporting events will bring the maritime community together in the days leading up to LISW27, combining networking and friendly competition while supporting LISW27's maritime charities.
Participants are welcome to take part in one or more of the events.
The LISW27 OSCAR Dragon Boat Race takes place on Thursday 9 September 2027 on the River Thames.
Teams from across the maritime industry will compete while raising funds for the OSCAR Campaign. No previous dragon boat experience is required.
Full registration details will be available on the LISW website.
The LISW27 Golf Day takes place on Friday 10 September 2027 at Woburn Golf Club, Buckinghamshire.
The event will bring together senior leaders from across the international maritime industry for a day of golf, hospitality and networking.
Players of all abilities are welcome.

The inaugural LISW27 Padel Tournament takes place on Sunday 12 September 2027 at Padium, Canary Wharf.
Novice and experienced players will compete in separate doubles tournaments. Players can register as a pair or individually.

Black Tie or military equivalent.
Civilian guests are encouraged to wear formal evening attire, typically a dinner suit or tuxedo with bow tie, or formal evening wear. Serving military personnel may wear the appropriate ceremonial or mess dress equivalent.

The LISW27 Gala Reception and Dinner takes place on Thursday 16 September 2027 at Evolution London.
The event runs from 19:00 until 00:00.
Individual tickets and tables of 10 can be purchased through the LISW website, subject to availability.

Yes. Tables of 10 and individual tickets are available to purchase.
If you have booked a table, the Events Team will contact you closer to the event with full information on how to submit your guest details and the relevant deadline.
This will include the information required for each guest, including any dietary or accessibility requirements.
There is no need to send your full table details until these have been requested.
Table positions are allocated by the LISW team as part of the overall Gala Dinner seating plan.
For Sponsors, positioning takes sponsorship level into account, with higher-level sponsorship packages receiving priority positioning within the room. We also consider the overall layout, guest profile and any known commercial sensitivities when allocating tables.
For this reason, specific table positions cannot be guaranteed, and table locations will not be confirmed in advance.
Guests purchasing individual tickets will be allocated to available tables by the Events Team.
If you would particularly like to be seated with another guest or group, please email events@lisw.com. We will do our best to accommodate seating preferences but cannot guarantee that all requests will be possible.
