Padel for Charity

For the first time, London International Shipping Week will host two Padel Tournaments to raise funds for LISW27’s supported charities.

One tournament is for experienced players, while the other is aimed at novices and those who might reasonably consider themselves hopeless at racket sports but want to enjoy a fun Sunday afternoon at iconic Canary Wharf before the serious business of London International Shipping Week begins.

The winners of each tournament will receive the coveted LISW27 Padel Tournament Trophy, which they will have to defend at LISW29. Each tournament will feature a round-robin stage, with three matches per team, followed by semi-finals and a Championship Final, where the winners will be crowned LISW27 Padel Champions.

Matches will be played in doubles, and more than 120 players are expected to take part. Players are invited to choose a team name and sign up to compete.

Qualified padel coaches will be on hand throughout the afternoon to introduce new players to the rules and scoring, provide coaching and tips, organise and update the tournament draw, officiate matches, and ensure everything runs smoothly and on schedule.

All padel equipment will be provided, along with changing rooms, showers, towels, and food and drink throughout the tournament. Every player will also receive an exclusive LISW27 Padel Tournament T-shirt.
